Phantom of the Opera Theme Party

This was a fun party to work with. My host gave her husband a 50th birthday party. Decorating for the Senses did the decor and a big chunk of the catering.

Color Scheme: Ivory, red
Theme: Phantom of the Opera
Menu: Holiday Green Salad with Pomegranate Vinaigrette Dressing
Terragon Chicken Salad with green grapes or cranberries, breads
Fruit tray with a creamy brown sugar sauce
Punch upon arrival with 3 cheese for slicing, flatbread/crackers, olive mix, pickles
Host provided 4 other spreads and crackers, the cakes and beverages.

Note: On some of the pics you are able to see the smoke feature to capture the mood of the Phantom of the Opera. The CD of the POTO was also playing in the background.

  1. This is just absolutely first class. I love the concept and thoughts behind the theme. The pictures captured the work wonderfully. The color scheme of ivory/red is right on yet not dark as the opera itself. The use of candles, drapery and musical instruments with sheet music were all thoughtful additions that make this a superb decorating feat. I am just simply impressed, to say the least. Well done, Donna!

  3. Ooh! This is interesting! I am also looking for some event halls for rent because my anniversary and my husband’s birthday is around the corner. This is a very nice theme and I would like to take it up for one of the parties. The setting and decoration has been very nicely done.
