On February 14, 2010, I posted my first menu for our newest endeavor, box lunch deliveries.
Decorating for the Senses was born after the encouragement of my family members to utilize my talents through a business. Through the years, I have done home decor, visual merchandising & organizing. I love decorating and I love to make people feel the warm feeling of high self worth when I serve them. When I decorate or organize, I love leaving their homes with a sense of order and beauty.
Little did I know that the catering segment of my business would take off first. I know it is because people do not decorate everyday but eating is something we think about and do continuously. I knew to launch my catering segment of my business, people just needed "a taste" of what I do.
On my birthday, a little over a year ago now, I met Charles, an ex pastry chef of Brennens' in Shreveport, La. I was shopping at Central Market, Westheimer where he now worked with the floral department. I shared to him what I was working on with my new business. A few days later I came up with an idea of a lunch for corporate offices, shared the idea with Charles, and he helped me to crystallize the idea of what is now my box lunches.
Now serving 3 areas of South Houston three days a week, our lunches also serve corporate lunch meetings, school staffs and occasional evening staff meetings.
We are striving to keep our price at $7. We now have an online payment system for those choosing to pay with credit.
Here is what people are saying about our lunches:
Donna, the food is great and very reasonably priced. It makes for a nice change during the week, expecially with the little extra touches like the flower and nice napkin. The napkin I got yesterday was so pretty, I didn't want to use it.

I have most appreicated the quality and presentation of your delicious meals and the deligence with which you deliver them. You are always dependable and if you must change, you give customers notice well in advance. Your customer service is excellent. It amazes me how some companies stay in business with their lax attitudes about caring for their customers, but you have always held that in high regard.
Thank you Donna for sharing your talents with us as your customers and for appreciating that we are here!
